Brittle Test

A commonly asked question is what is a brittle test? A brittle test is a manual test usually performed by an insurance company adjuster or a Public Adjuster to determine the repairability of a shingle roof.

There are many videos you can watch on youtube to watch how a brittle test is performed. It is always safest to wait for the insurance companies adjuster to be there to observe or perform the test so that it is not possible for them to say you were intentionally causing damage to a roof they are insuring in your insurance policy.

If you have roof damage from wind, hail, ice dams, or a falling object call Experienced Public Adjusters.
