URGENT HURRICANE IRMA FEE CAP UPDATE

Published by FAPIA
“We are happy to report that FAPIA has received an opinion from the Office of the General Counsel of the Department of Financial services as it pertains to public adjuster fee caps and the extensions of the Governor’s State of Emergency, as follows:

“the 10% maximum fee for claims incurred during the original Hurricane Irma-related State of Emergency has been deemed to have expired September 4, 2018. Please disregard the interim information provided.”

We’d like to thank you all for your trust, confidence and support while we worked to resolve this important dispute for you. I look forward to seeing you all at the upcoming conference where we will be sharing more information about upcoming initiatives. Thank you”.
